rvc, some explanation of what KDE and PCBSD9.1 Isotope 64 bit is might help us lower mortals.
Sorry for the delay in reply champ...

    1) KDE: this is K Desktop Environment, an opensource project in desktop environments... earlier this was restricted to unix like operating systems and is the nearest to the look and feel of a Win7 desktop.
here is a link that displays KDE desktops on windows => LINK

and here is the LINK to lead you to the page from where it can be downloaded...

This desktop is still in its infancy on Windows platform but is very very popular and eye candy in the unix environment with lots of desktop effects and options to change the look and feel... KDE functions on the plasma desktop and the latest entrant is the BE::Shell (which you can find in some of my previous shots) Plasma desktop is still buggy in windows so i am using it as a layer on top of the windows shell... feel free to ask and i ll be happy to share with whatever i know ! :)

    2. Isotope : this is a version 9.X of the PCBSD operating system and it is codenamed as such. This is not Linux but still a unix... BSD uses a totally different file system and kernel than linux and both are opensource... Both have an emulator called wine (windows emulator) where we can install windows specific programs and run it... in some shots you can see that i ve used Rainmeter (windows specific) to display in my pcbsd and linux shots...

Hope this brief description was helpful... i am just posting another shot from pcbsd OS...

Please, maybe just a bus every few days? Please?
Alonso, I have to very strongly disagree with you.

Should we also ask someone posting several nature themed desktops to stop posting? Or someone interested in Windows themed desktops only post one and stop there? Or do you mean that everything else is OK but posting vintage bus desktops is forbidden?

Alonso, what do you suggest? That you can only post a certain amount of desktops based on the same theme? Or you are only allowed to post one desktop a week here?

This is not the first time I feel I need to publicly take Carl's side, and I'm guessing not the last, either. I agree with majority here at SF that he should find a work and put his life together, but as a Seven Forums member who has very clearly learned his lesson after he was allowed back in after a short ban, he has exactly the same rights than you, Alonso or anybody else here.

Carl, I like your vintage car & bus enthusiasm and have in fact saved quite a many of your desktop backgrounds and pics from Today thread. I want you to know that for me you are an equal fellow SF member and in my honest opinion we have no right to ask you to act as we want to, as long as you follow the rules set by forum owners. Please continue being yourself.

    Thanks, Jerry.

I admit I lost my temper a bit writing that. Seems this is a personal matter, antipathy against a fellow member. I mean, it seems a bit odd that it's ok to post in this Windows 7 desktop thread daily a new desktop for Unix based PC-BSD operating system barely no one is using but someone who creates nice Windows desktops showing his hobby and interest should not post.

I think in this case it was more a try to "belong to gang", a young member has noticed someone is often targeted and wants to show the gang, posting "See, me too!"

As far as I know from one of his earlier post, Carl has 10,000+ bus photos .... and increasing everyday. So, knot your belt tight, hold your breath .... and enjoy the greatest and largest bus photo collection of the world.

I would like to suggest Carl to start an exhibition on it. It also can be a great source of earning, as there are people interested on your collection
