Pretty simple but I hate icons on my desktop.

Looks good, only 13 icons on one screen, 19 the other.

i use fences2 to hide my desktop icons

my christmas wall, the snow you can see is actually very realistic animated snow, using deskscapes from stardock. you can adjust the amount of flakes and the speed they fall and how quick they melt from the taskbar ,you can select a wallpaper of your choice for the background ,this one i use every year as the others i have just dont come close to being better.
for those of you interested the deskscapes software has a free 30 day trial so if you wanted a snowy desktop this xmas then give it a try. you can also set it all as a screensaver .
