    Windows color

i have seen other people with windows 7 having a different task bar color, not just that, but different color for windows too. i know how to change the windows color, but what about the task bar. i want a different color other than the default blue-ish. i DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS AREO, my video driver doesnt support it, but ill have it later once i get a new one. im great with computers and you could say almost anything to me (except c++) and ill know what your talking about.

That statement does not make sense. Did you, did you not, follow the instructions?

    Right Click Desktop
    Choose Personalize.
    Choose Window Color
    Choose Advanced Appearance Settings
    Click the drop down arrow
    Choose 3D Objects
Select a color - you may also select Other here - and make a custom color

    Look carefully.

    M.. oops...

mickey, the only problem with that little bit of dialog is - it is not entirely true. Even with Aero on, some of those settings still work. One example is icon spacing. There are others.

With Aero turned off and Classic enabled, the controls work legacy just as always (XP).

Aha - the light comes on!

You have selected the Windows 7 Basic theme? Use Classic or ignore everything I have posted.

I will make a test and post back.
