How to add a "Copy Shortcut text" context menu item
I modify and clean up the start menu entries on all my machines, and it's an irritation having to construct shortcuts to a program file that you are looking at in Explorer by-
- Highlight and copy the folder address from Explorer address bar
- Paste into the target shortcut address
- Manually type a "\"
- Highlight and copy the .exe file name
- Paste (append) into the shortcut target address
What I want is a right-click menu item to copy the FULL PATH of the currently selected file to the clipboard. Just like the "Copy link location" menu function in Firefox.
Note this is not the same as the normal "Create Shortcut" option which creates a shortcut file in the current folder, I just want the path text on the clipboard.
Sounds simple but i'm not much of a registry hacker. Any idea how to do this?
