    Unable to set slide show background or save new themes Win7


    Hey guys, first post here.

    Basically I'm trying to set a slideshow as my desktop background but everytime I click the Desktop Background link in Personalization it always takes me to this: imgur: the simple image sharer

    And even if I go to where my background selection is, it just won't save the changes.

    Also if I select a theme I made before this started happening (With a slide show background) I should normally be able to right click desktop > Next desktop background. But that either doesn't work, or doesn't show up at all.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    P.S I recently installed "DreamScene", "Windows 7 Start Orb Changer" and "StartOrbz Studio (Although I haven't used this one yet)" I figured it would have something to do with one of these, but anything I try isn't working

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

    Go to C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes folder and rename the slideshow.ini to slideshow.bak.ini and delete the TranscodedWallpaper.jpg reboot and see if you can set a slideshow and save theme.

    AppData is hidden use step 3 of this tutorial to unhide it File and Folder - Hide or Unhide

I'm looking for a way to pause win7 slide-show background at any point without disturbing my background setup. I'd like it to be like the right-click menu it has in "windows-seen" (I forgot that name it was called....) I'm sure this can be done..... or has it, and I've not find it yet ;)
I set a folder full of picture to run as a slideshow in the background of my screen. After several hours it reverts to one picture. Why?
I am running W7 premium and cannot get the slideshow to run nor change my desktop background picture. I have tried all the settings on the laptop but nothing works.:p
hi. just have an hp dv7 1135nr. running win 7 64 home premium. originally i had the desktop slideshow option. but had my drivers corrupted and used my disk to re-install. after a grueling:devil: time giving myself permission for all my pics again and loading them into my own theme file i noticed...
I noticed with Desktop Background Slide show if I set it to 5 minutes it changes in like 2 minutes. I've timed it. For an hour it changes like in 20 minutes. It does on both My Windows 7 Ultimate and Home Premium. The time is somewhere off, anyone know how to fix this or experiencing this? ...
