    task scheduler customization

Hello everybody, it's good to hear from you again. I was wondering if it's possible to use task scheduler in such a manner that it shuts down the pc when you open a certain application. I am busting my head through this and i get stuck at the point where I suppose to enter the event ID for my application, any idea, please ?? Best wishes to you all

Are you looking to have a task run, then have the PC shut down after? If so, you can set up a 2nd task to shutdown the PC that runs after the 1st task is scheduled. Just set the "Condition" of the shutdown task to run when PC is idle for x amount of time.

    more details

hello, I was particularly trying to create a task which will shutdown the pc when a certain application is accessed. To be more precise, I want to make a prank to one of my colleagues and make his computer shutdown every time when he runs a certain program. I tried to create a task, but, at some point, when I have to define the trigger, I am asked for an event id, I guess it's the same event id you can find in event viewer in computer management. The issue is that I don't know the event id for my application and I don't now where to search for it. Thanks
