    yeah, another way would be to add the text in a new layer and then scale it to fit. It doesn't have to fit within the sword blade.

    Benjy pal, whenever possible try not to stretch a bitmap ... the pixels don't like being stretched and this causes the image to look distorted and sometimes gets a "jaggy edge" and can often have a blurred effect . Try and resample the image to a larger res then resize it proportionality. Also try and use as high res images as you can possibly find

    Yes i know but I had one sword there but BlackSparrow gave me a link to this image that he wanted so its all i have to work with

    I did a quick search and made a quick vector redraw, does the sword look a bit like this ? .....
