Thanks Dude. EricDesign from DeviantART.com has just very kindly offered to do me a sig, but I'm reluctant to accept his generous offer as I know he'd be extremely busy and I would like to learn how to do it myself.

Yes thank you Kado897 ... I noticed that. I'm a bit confused about the screen size and print size when I went to resize it via XnView ?

Thanks Wenda ... yes I'm in nappies with PS CS6, but I did learn how easy it was to drag and drop .png files onto the .psd canvas (is that the right speak lol ?). Watch this space Wenda, much better Sigs to be revealed lol !!!

Use the resizing option while saving the image in PS. Use a size in the same ratio as 650x150 so it reduces in proportion. We usually start with a canvas size of 1300x300.
