    Hi again.

Although I haven't been posting much, I've not been idle. More practice and experimenting, and I'm
working out how to do more interesting things like adding different effects to layers. I've found some
pretty interesting things you can do to text, for example. And I've been practicing at cutting objects
out of photos. Not real good at that yet, but improving.

I haven't done any of that here yet (but will be), but here's my current EightForums sig with photo
cuttings of my late pets Jenna and Milko, with an effect ('Outer Glow') applied. It has the dual
effect of both making the pics stand out against the background, but also helps hide the fact that
    they're not great crop jobs.

There are a couple of other projects I'm working on, including a 'cover photo' for my Farcebook page
and new/updated sigs for both here and EightForums using more of the techniques and fuctions I've
learned. I seem to learn something new every time I open the program.
This is actually quite addictive, because everyone else's sigs give me more ideas, and every time I
look at one of mine I think of more things to do or change. And above all, it's fun.

Congrats on the great work posted since I was last here. Well done!!

    Cheers!

    Wenda.

Knocking out a background is time consuming Wenda. It takes some effort to clean up the "left overs", white pixels around the edges.

    Oh, you are not wrong!

These look absolutely terrible at full-size, but shrunk down to go on the sig, with a little bit
of lighting/glow applied, you don't really notice. I'll get there, though, and they're my best
    effort so far.

More practicing coming up, though, these cold winter nights are perfect for it.

    Wenda.

One trick to cleaning the halo left is to grow the selection 1 pixel into the object before deleting.
