More practicing, and I think I've got the border and rounded corner issues worked out.

I've just gotten around to finishing my EightForums sig, which I'd actually been using even though it wasn't quite finished. It still needed a final tidy-up, and a border.

Anyway, I used a variation on the technique I used on this SevenForums sig's border, but using a mask layer to get rid of the sharp corners on the inside 'box'. It was much easier and less 'fiddly' to do, and IMO looks much better.

    What do others think?

Also, I've now inserted my new 'Power User' badge into this forum's sig, next I'll re-do its border properly.

    Wenda.

Hi Wenda. Looking good. It would be better if you could remove the background from the photo like on your current sig. Although Win 8 likes sharp edges and corners.

Glad you picked up on that, and many thanks.

Silly me, I've grabbed the wrong psd file when I went to edit it, and didn't notice. Will fix now.

    Thanks again.

    Wenda.

    EDIT:- Fixed. How embarrassing.

    RE: My Signature

    Hi Friends

I only installed Photoshop today and having never used the program before, I came up with this. Obviously I have a long way to go in learning how to use Photoshop, but it was fun doing it.

NB: A huge thank you to EricDesign (3DEricDesign on deviantART) for allowing me to use his .psd in designing this signature.

    Cheers, Neil.
