How to change the iTunes icon.

Hi, I'm not sure whether to post on here or a apple forum but you guys seem friendly since i'm using windows 7 .

Anyhoose since i upgraded form itunes 9.0.0 to itunes 9.0.1 I haven't been able to change my icon back to an awesome one i downloaded. Now whenever I try and make my own shortcut it opens the .exe as well as keeping the itunes shortcut pinned to the taskbar. And as you may know you can't natively change the shortcut Apple gives you. So now I have two ugly icons while using iTunes.

Thank for any help and if you need any pics or a video of my failing let me know. Thanks Owen.C93.

If i understand correctly, unpin your current instance of iTunes from the tasbar, create a shortcut of iTunes in documents or similar, right click the shortcut and choose change icon. Choose your .ICO icon, right click the shortcut again and pin the shortcut the taskbar.
If i've missed the point sorry!!

    Sorry no

That method launches iTunes but in another icon along side it (the normal icon) I'll try and dig in the iTunes folder for another .exe just incase that helps. Thanks for your reply though.

Ok, well you can imbed an icon using restorator 2007 (free trial). That should do the trick
Also, now i'm curious, where can i see this awesome icon you want to use?!

Ok thanks i'll have a look. Oh well by awesome i mean an improvement. But i get alot of my icons from the Rocket dock site in the add-ons section and convert them to .ico if needed on the internet.

But here's a link to the one i use Nothing special but the original itunes icon doesn't fit with my other ones :L
