    Lightweight Windows 7 Shell Replacement?


    I have a PC running W7 Home Premium 32 bit, with 1 GB of RAM, and a single core AMD 64 CPU at 2.2 GHz. Is there a lightweight shell replacement to make this machine run faster? It doesn't have to be pretty- performance over looks here. Thanks!

Please consider these two keys: What is the main difference between these? Say, I've changed first the keys under Shell Folders and then under User Shell Folders. It was only until I'd changed those under User Shell Folders (after restarting the machine) did the changes take place.
Could anyone please tell me which one is considered the most lightweight (uses the least RAM/proc) with real time scanning (or resident shield in AVG) feature only? No need to consider the capability, features (firewall, antimalware etc).
