Problem with icons position in my desktop

    Hi

I've been having this little problem since I bought this notebook. It's not so important, but after 300 times and not understanding completely why or when it will happen I decided to look for help.

I like to arrange my icons in groups distributed in my desktop like in pic 1. Sometimes I turn off my computer and when I start it again they are rearranged like in pic 2. It sometimes happen when I connect or disconnect the power plug, or when I use other monitors and change back, or sometimes just because...Other times I do the same things and doesn't happen for weeks.

Is there a way to control this? and why does it happen? does anyone know?

    Thanks

I don't know what kind of computer you are using but my desktop will do that if I don't turn the monitor on before I turn on the computer. I have no idea why.

I killed all the gremlins in my house but the problem persists.

Lets wait to see if someone else offers another solution (more down to earth, please...)

My notebook is a HP Pavilion DM4, intel i5... what other features would you need to know?

Try this and your desktop is free for pretty backgrounds or a slideshow.
