How many layers in your signature ??

    *gulp*

I was talking about this earlier in a previous post ... but on average how many layers (objects) do you guys have in your sig/avatars?
I've got 83 not including some of the flattened layers in my sig
This isn't something to really boast about, multiple layers are good in most respects ... but sometimes I personally feel that you should try and keep the layers down a bit if at all possible, but I was just wondering ?

Objects (items) on a layer .. Are not the same as several layers.

I think you might be mistaken there pal.
My screeny was from CorelDRAW. We have the ability to work on multiple obejects on multiple layers. eg. I could work on 10 objects on layer 1 and another 10 objects on layer 2, but if I exported the image to PhotoSHOP or CorelPHOTOpaint then I would end up with 20 layers. I've added an example --- TAZ.
(BTW I've exported my sig to PS and CPP and it has 83 layers) Vector based programs work slightly different to bitmaped ones

    8 .. .. 3
Then I should stop at once. I cannot manage properly neatly 8 layers at once. Layer arrangement becomes messy.

I salute you, PooMan ! If I have 10% of your talent ... if I can manage 8 layers

Multiple layers for multiple effects become easier for the designer to re-do or delete some of the effect leaving the rest intact. i have started to use multiple layers to bring the effect I need. Customization.

Now I believe, time to change my siggie.

My sigs are generally rather simple.... Even those I make for other people. I'd rather create effects on the layer instead of adding layers to add effects (I do duplicate layer and hide the original as a backup though). My current sig; 7 layers excluding hidden layers. Most I've done in a sig / avatar I think was about 14 or 15, I can't find it now though so I'm not too sure...

When I play around with photomanipulation though, well.... That's a whole different story. 150 to 250mb PSD files easily hitting 20 to 30 layers...

Thanks buddy that is awesome! Can you please do a few small changes though?
    - Can you change the color of the windows icon next to the name to color and not grey?
    - Can you make the icons on the right smaller and add a certified for windows 7 sign there?
    - And maybe make the writing of the system specs a bit easier to read?
    Thanks!
