    how to change the mainframe background, pic/color ??


    like the pic: area between the red box and black box

    That is image #s Active 686 Inactive 687 in the aero.msstyles for default aero and basic themes.

    big thanks Jerry, you are the man . It took me n.. hours to search that aera,and i got nothing.
    so can you just help me another question;


    i want' to change the font color of taskbar,and read form other post that
    -----------
    "..........open the Normal.res with vxi32 and press Ctrl+G to bringup the search address & key in 2DC75 in the search box with hexadecimal radio button check
    Once you in the right address look for FF FF FF in the correspond row it should be at column 12 13 14, change it to any color you desire and save it......."
    ------------

    i'm new to hex editor,so where can i find the "FF FF FF"mentioned and how to change it?click what ?~

    I know nothing about hex editing, I use Ave's Windows7 Style Builder to create or edit themes.

    Change the TEXTCOLOR:COLOR at Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand

    dear jerry, i indeed edited the pics of Active 686 Inactive 687 in the aero.msstyles(in basic mode),and in normal window
    it's ok, but in maximize window it's not changed, remains the same,what's the problem?

    OK try 689 for Active and 688 for Inactive or in WSB Toolbars, Headers and Rebar > Rebar > NavBar > Basic > Max > Active > Background and Toolbars, Headers and Rebar > Rebar > NavBar > Basic > Max > Inactive > Background
