    Weather gadget is Backwards

The Weather gadget is confused. It thinks it's nighttime when it's actually daylight outside. The graphics display correctly though.

When it's night time, the "Clear" or "Mostly Clear" display will display "Sunny" or "Mostly Sunny" instead.

Is it the Australian version you are using?

The location I have it set is specifically inside the United States, not Australia.
What do you think prompted this?

The weather display on my Windows 8 laptop also says "Clear", but it also isn't prompted by incorrect region settings as well.

    I was just joking

    Perhaps a reboot might help?

Just to confirm, if you click the wrench icon, you confirm the location is correct? If you click the arrow (larger) icon, does the gadget change display, or still backwards? Have you tried closing the gadget, then reopening it? If none of this is relevant, you might try turning the windows gadget platform off, then back on.

Windows Features - Turn On or Off

Scroll down to Windows gadget platform, untick, reboot, and go back and tick it.

Beyond that, confirm correct computer time, and format, location, and locale settings

    Region and Language - Change

Well, sometimes a Windows Update makes a bad habit of breaking the gadgets or make them go away entirely so I have to run a Microsoft Fix-It. Everyone's all talk about the vulnerability in Windows Sidebar and Gadgets that could allow remote-code execution.

Well crap! It's doing it again. But this time there's a difference. The gadget next to it says it's "Clear" when it's supposed to be nighttime.

I'd run the system File Checker. It's possible you have a corrupt dll(s)

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    If no joy, navigate to

    C:\users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar

Do you see a (any) Cache folder? It may be due to cached info for some reason?

Have you tried setting it to another city in the same time zone and seeing if it updates that weather correctly?
