    How to hide the "customize..." link from the window of tray icons?


    Hi sevenforums users,
    I was wondering if it would be possible to hide the "customize..." link from the window of hidden tray icons. Do you know how to do it?

    Are you talking about the option named "Customize notification icons"?

    I don't know if that's possible without the Group Policy Editor, and the Group Policy Editor is only available in Windows 7 Professional and above. Even then, I don't know if the Group Policy Editor can do this.

    if i was able to hide command bar in explorer, this should be possible too, whatabout resource hacker or regedit?

    I don't know. I did a ton of Googling on this, and I didn't see anyone talking about how to do this.

    The reason I said that the Group Policy Editor would probably be needed is this seems like something an administrator would want to do. For example, at a university, a school, or at the workplace.

    I think it's not what I want. I don't like notification icons on screen. I just need to remove this:
