No, not a weird question, sometimes it takes a while though.

If you are using this Windows 7 Logon Background Changer - Customize your Windows 7 welcome screen wallpaper

I think it is the better software to change the logon screen.

There is another one I know of that adds the context menu item you're looking for but when I used it a while back

I couldn't get a successful screen change from the context menu.

It will launch the program from the desktop context menu as shown in this video,

DanielNET Software - Logon Screen for Windows 7

Pay close attention to the installer and decline the unnecessary offers (that alone is enough for me to not use it)

You'll notice on the download page it shows the context menu option but don't show it working on the video.

    hey derekimo
    thanx for replying :)
yea i am using the same Windows 7 Logon Background Changer - Customize your Windows 7 welcome screen.
in the past i have used DanielNET Software - Logon Screen for Windows 7. and i must say i never had any problem in changing the logon screen either from the explorer or the desktop context menus. this was before my system crashed some time back.
now when i reinstalled DanielNET Software - Logon Screen for Windows 7, i am getting problems with it.
also i really like Windows 7 Logon Background Changer. the only thing missing is the context menu option. i know it can be done through registry tweak but dont know how to do it.
