Here ya go pal
Super7 wallpaper photoshop file (zipped)
haha I made this Windows 7 Wallpaper myself using JASC Paint Shop Pro 7. It might not be as good as some of the others I've seen in this thread, but it is definitely unique!
Thanx 4 the kind words. I guess an artist is their own worst critic, afterall? lol
Really! But an artist is not generally satisfied with his art ... he always feel that it may be better and better.... and its the driving force for the next masterpiece
If an artist realises that his work is good enough, its his death as an artist. Coz he will not get the impulse to go better.
I've noticed that most of the contributors in this section have a thing for .png files, as opposed to jpegs, may I ask why? Also, why go to the trouble of taking a screen shot of your desktop, when u can simply upload the background image? Seems to me that would be easier, and keep people from having to then ask the poster to post the original desktop image if they like it. Wouldn't it save time to simply post the original to begin with?
Hiya pal.
The main benefits of png over jpg is that .png files support transparencies and jpg files don't. (see pic) and the reason that people take a screen shot of their desktops is to show their gadgets/icons etc. aswell as their wallpaper. But their is a thread for this over here post your windows 7 desktops
The reason I use PNG's for wallpapers is for the quality, while the file size is bigger I like to retain the quality, looks great on a HDTV, with the amount of memory in computers nowadays the file size of the PNG's is not that much of an issue!!
One thing i will add though, if your going to use a PNG as a wallpaper you need to store it in :C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows Photo Viewer then use the Personalization Menu to select it!! I wrote about this at my forums a few days ago!!
Hope this helps!!
