You really should resize the sig to 650x150 too. The forum will do it but looks better if the creator does it. :)
Nice ones Thrash! I like your current sig too
Some hints;
- After completing the 1300x300 sig, resize it to 650x150, that's the applicable size here at SF, EF and NF.
- Instead of making a signature that fills the entire canvas, try making the banner itself smaller, like 1200x200 px, and use the free space to add a nice drop shadow in it, it'll give a nice contrast to the sig as a whole.
- Don't be afraid to play with layer styles, especially on text and banners, but also on strokes. For instance, the stroke you made on Bill's sig would IMHO look even better if you'd apply a nice bevel & emboss on it
- Gradient overlay is your friend! Apply it on banners, text, strokes and even on layer masks to make a nicely contrasted shadow. Experimenting is key here.
- Play a bit with colors. I myself am most certainly no hero with color matching, but the more you do it, the more you learn.
- Custom shapes for banners are nice, definitely worth looking into

Wow, nice one Arc!
Also thanks for including the .psd file, nice to see how one of the GFX gurus uses layer styles:)
