Create custom theme
Just got/installed Windows 7 fresh install from windows vista.
On windows vista I had a slideshow gadget that changed pictures on my desktop and didn't care if it was in a subfolder are not, as long as they were all under the same root directory.
Everything I have scene for windows7 says that it has to be all in one folder and no subfolders for a theme to work.
However this is not the case.
When you go into your personalization and you click on Desktop background, Picture Loaction = Windows Desktop Background, you will see that windows has made 7 different groups (Architecture, Chracters, Landscapes, Nature, Scenes, United States, and Windows) and listed them under this one title.
I want to be able to do that as well. Hence so I tried lol.
If I move a folder from my picture directory to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper
I will see it and be able to add it to the group above, first problem I really don't want my windows folder to be hogged up with 2000+ pictures, second problem Windows folders don't allow shortcuts, I could use the other group Picture Loaction = Picture Library, but that is on my C:\ with limited of space. As well If you add a subfolder to C:\Users\Public\Pictures you can use multiple groups. This erks me that i cannot figure it out how to do this on other drive where my pictures are already located.
Any idea how to set it up is well apreciated. If you know how to move the public folder and document folder to another drive, that might work as well, but forogt how to do that.
