    Hi,
Just keep track of the file size Bill's is 91 kb,
The max is 250 kb but you need to be well under that,
Otherwise it uploads well as .gif,
If it wasn't a .gif and uploaded as such it wouldn't animate
    Cheers.

True, but I mean uploading straight to sevenforums as opposed to uploading it elsewhere and simply using img tags. Either way, I understand now. Thanks.

So whats the best way to animate text in Gimp? I googled around a bit but haven't found exactly what I want to do. I want to make the text scroll up and then get smaller towards the top, normal at the bottom.

The perspective tool will allow me to get the text to do what I want but what is the easiest way of scrolling text up in Gimp? I know how to create a timeline and simulate something moving in Blender/3ds but not Gimp.

I've not created a GIF in GIMP for ages but what you need to do is treat a layer as a frame. If I remember correctly there is even a filter that allows you to test it and optimise it. There are lots of YouTube tutorials to point you in the right direction.

So how do I earn the GFX tag? I don't want it handed to me but I like shiny things and I want another tag. Is there a criteria or does the powers that be just have to see enough of your work to give you the go ahead?

I've posted what I've made so far in this thread.

    This one

This one thats not done yet.

And the one that is my current sig.

I did make this site for my mom and I created the header (and favicon) in Gimp.

I know thats not enough but I'll keep plugging away. I've been getting more and more interested in design and graphics lately.
