    You're Welcome

@ MourningStar to do the editing I don't think so but I use my account and I am Admin.

To change the system file you need to take ownership give yourself permission and rename the old file and then copy in the new one.

    Hi Jerry -

Can you detail with images these last steps? I am unsure as to what do here. Also, I see that there are several authui files and am not sure which one to edit.

    thank you

thnx Jerry! What I meant was I am unsure 'which' file to edit because I find several of these files with this same name in different folders. ALSO, as per your screens, I do not seem to find this file in the desktop folder.

Look at Post #2 Help with removing the "Locked" message at login screen

I edit copies of all files on the Desktop(as a work space) not the original.

Thnx Jerry - as per post#2 and working w/copies, I updated both the sys32/en-US and syswow64/en-US files as instructed, saved & re-booted the machine. "Locked" text is still present. Oh well, like many other things, works for some, not for others - no big deal. Thank you all the same, it was a learning experience and I am grateful nonetheless.

(p.s. - btw/fwiw, I use one of Mark's custom glass themes and the way-cool Logon screen rotator)

You're welcome, I tried it in VmWare and it didn't work for me either but I've had that happen before sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't.
