Snoopy is on your desktop too!
Yep, I was trying to make it look like it was drawn on. Oh, and I used Photoshop Cs2 to draw the bricks!

Have they locked you up Chuck?
Not yet. But why do I have to learn all this stuff?

So far I'm thinking I'll probably study electrical or computer engineering, geography has nothing to do with that! Nor literature.

I can understand Algebra and maybe Science, but literature is kinda stupid. Why do we need a class for us just to read a story and then answer a few questions about it? I can read at home.. I can read stories I want to read, not stories I'm forced to read.

And Geography? Must I know where every single nation is and the history of it?

    Sorry for ranting on there.

The excuse is that you need a rounded education. They wouldn't let me sit my chemistry degree until I had passed either a geography or history exam. Lost a year because of that.

I was not a student of literature, too. But the selected literature taught are some selective samples of a great lot of literature which are supposed to enhance out level of understanding, not for enjoyment only. An answer to a question of algebra is either right or wrong, but for literature there is no right and no wrong, but a continuum in between these two extremes (other than the multiple choice type questions). A journey between these two extremes enhances our ability of understanding and ability of explanation.

Think the globe as your extended home. It is not bad but worthy to know about it. :)

Hey mate! Sorry for a lecture on it.

    I suppose you're right.

However, with modern day technology, must the average person know where every country is? It takes about 5 sec to Google it...

I guess this 'rounded education' can be a good topic for discussion if you have no idea what to talk about..

Me: "So, how did you like high school?"

Random Person: "I'm just glad to be out and in the real world."

In the real world it won't be long until you wished you were back in school.

Oh, come on. It can't be that bad.

Like the wallpaper Chuck, reminds of the battle we're in now regarding the segregation of nature.

Literature is great in my opinion literature is the study of subtext and form which can can be applied to any discipline in life. I agree being forced to read things can be dreadful, though is simply a case study. Can't look at things so subjectively.

Absolutely it is that bad! I left school very young as I grew bored of it, then as you grow older it is hard to do anything because everything requires experience. I could have been in the universities now as a teacher, being able to converse with those on my level and be immersed in what I enjoy instead of the 9-5 drudgery of blue collar work.

Education should be done on an individual basis so that the grade 4 student working at 12th grade level in x subjects is doing them in the 12th grade as is the 12th grade student doing work at a 4th grade level in x subjects is doing them in 4th grade. Though is hard these days with how subjective our society is as everything is broken into caste and then things start to clash.

One way to help alleviate this issue, is too stop simplifying things. Simple be as simple is, and that's a reflection on our people for they're subjected to the enviroment. University English for example is a joke, should be learning that type of stuff right away. Like we break things off into too many categories when there is really one. You should start off with only one subject when you start school. Call this the constant, then build on the one with another one in the future... your variables. This approach would revolutionise sociological progression in ways we can not imagine rest assured.

Because honestly like you said what is the point of learning all that crap they teach you. When we over convulute school to subject students to a bit of everything in hopes they will cling to one thing and then go ok, throw the rest out and begins the process of making you less perceptive. As you go through the ranks up to your PHD and your scope of knowledge becomes more narrow.

This is the wrong approach your scope should be narrow going into the school system, and coming out (EG. DYING), you should have a very broad scope because you are taught how to use the diverse amount information received with all interactions in life.

We all interact with people... sociology, psychology, biology, ETC ETC all things we can use during our social interactions. The way people talk... the words, their gestures, the phonetics and inflection of frequency. It's so beatiful, the anatomy... physiology of it all. Yet most of us don't see this stuff and the stuff we do it's just a arm, or a tree. Like it's depressing.

P.S. Attaching desktop picture to make relavant. This idea has been around for awhile great for stationary setups (also know if someone touched your computer, if it's out of line). http://www.funniestmemes.com/wp-cont...-it_14032.jpeg
