    Gimp Design - What are these called


    Hi Everyone,

    I'm wanting to play with the below style design 'Swooshy Lines' :)
    What are they called as i'm struggling to find a tutorial to create the below effects?

EDIT: Please use Athene's posted link below in post #2 to download Gimp 2.8. The new Gimp 2.8 is now available, be sure and check out the release notes as this is a major release and there have been significant improvements over the previous Gimp.

I am looking forward (just started reading a text book) to learning Gimp. I just purchased a new desk-top unit that has Windows 7 x64. Based on the Microsoft Windows 7 compatability site, Gimp is shown to not be compatabile. The Gimp web site gives the latest Windows (32) download and a dowload...
