It's a bit different from Photoshop. Being vector it's more like Illustrator.

When my band recorded our album we created our own artwork for the album cover in Photoshop, then we were passed onto a company who were going to print our CDs and the covers and we had to convert into CorelDraw as that's what they used. That process was a complete nightmare.

    Nice one Archie.
    Thank you Keith. :)

What I need to do is start increasing the canvas size when the sig is finished to tidy up any layers. It becomes really clear then.
I do it differently. I depend on the Select Inverse for trimming everything out. :)

CorelDRAW is popular with print shops.

I could never grasp CorelDraw although it's been a long time since I tried it last.
Coreldraw is allot easier to grasp than corelpaint for me :)
But it's like anything stick with it and it becomes more familiar

It's a very good technique Arc and one I do use often, the only trouble with applying that method to Layer 4 in this instance is that when the Inverse was selected it selected inside the sig's border as well as outside it so I would be deleting the part of the layer I actually wanted to keep. I can't PrtScn it with the selection highlighted to show what I mean.

I may give it another try, I know I've got to use my CS3 key at some point as CS2 won't install on W10, so if I've got to start learning again I may as well go the whole hog.

Well I probably wouldn't bother with CD7 been there and done that one it's quite buggy
    Cd6 is pretty stable

Keith has cd7 home and student possibly it's more stable but with fewer features than cd6,
But either way you can practice with free inkscape

It is not as stable as CD X6. There are some operations it is liable to freeze on. There have been some updates since you tried it but they don't make it through to the Home and Student version so the full version may have improved.

I'm sure most of the updates only apply to the premium service customers which is another 99.us a year
