I just whipped this one up in 5 - 10 minutes, I can't upload it for some reason though. Is it to do with the dimensions because I'm a beginner user?

Just started playing with new border shapes and effects...
Don't really know what else to do on this but please feel free to offer feedback on the little i have done.

A really big issue of mine at the moment is not only my limited Gimp skills which i am working on again now but also artistic ideas.

The only thing I would suggest is to up the dpi/ resolution to your starting projects,
    The default is a 72.000 which is 72 dpi/ ppi/ resolution,
Curves will look much better at 300 or even 150 will produce a much better curve...

What you need to do is find an image that represents you or your interests( a game or video perhaps) or something related to Windows or Seven Forums to put in the "blank" area.

Yes you will have to wait a bit. Nice design though. It's perhaps a little bit flat. Maybe if the "samurai"? was given a drop shadow to make it pop a bit, or a bit of light and shadow to give it solidity.

This is great advise, i had noticed the edges weren't as smooth and didn't realise the resolution was low, i will do a new test tonight at 300dpi.

I will do this on the next test signature i do, it's area's like HarriePatemans signature i struggle with as he asked for 'Cool' which is where i would need to be creative but struggle, hopefully as i do more and learn more the creativeness will be easier
