How do I change the icon's position when I download to my desktop?

    I thought Maxie's suggestion in post #3 was a good solution too.

    And btw - I think nobody was trying to bash you. I guess we just did not understand your problem.

    Downloading to the Desktop goes back aways to Win95 but that can get things cluttered. Win7 and Win8 create a Downloads Folder in Windows Explorer [File Explorer on Win8/8.1] in the left panel under Favorites or the actual Folder is in C:\Users\user-name. Most browsers can be set to point to that Folder in their Options or Preferences.
