Win 7 64

I ran a system check using the verify only option as per the above instructions and it reported "integrity violations", which I suspected.

Then I followed the steps to leave a copy of the log results on the desktop using the elevated command prompt but it did not work.

This is what I entered in the command prompt:

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

I do not see any typos.

I could run a scan next and let it attempt to do a repair as well but am nervous that might mess something up.

According to the instructions, it will mess up "theming files" but wonder if that is all that will be messed up.

Perhaps I should create a Recovery Backup first but that would save the messed up files, so that does not seem like a good idea ...

What you typed here is correct, to be sure, you can copy and paste. Just copy from the tute, then right click in the command prompt and click on paste. Also make sure it is an advanced command prompt. A complete backup is always a good idea. Don't worry if it will have the same errors, the idea is to have a working backup before running the SFC. If the SFC does no harm, you can then make a new backup of your fixed system
