I have been using the Microsoft 5 day weather gadget for a few years now. Just recently about middle of June it was not updating correctly. It is a day behind showing Today Sun Mon Tues Wed should be Today Mon Tues Wed Thur since Today is Sunday. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Still no change. I thought about that time I noticed "Foreca" bottom left and that seemed new. I prefer the 5 day weather gadget. I have found another (weather.com) one but I have to bring it back to the desktop when restarting my laptop. I keep track of several areas so I have to change that part of it also each startup. Any suggestions?

I've tried the open and save the Config.xml file and my Weather Gadget works for about a week and then stops updating again. I've done this fix about four times now and each time I get the same results.

    Same problem.

I reset the app with the config file.

After about 2 days it stops working again and need to apply the fix again. Very annoying

I right click on it, and select open in notepad.

Then i simply click save and close it.

The fix will work for like 2 days

I did search for Config.xml file-it list a lot of other "files", do you highlight all and right click?

    saved no change

Mitch 656-I found the Config.xml file didn't highlight any just file open in notepad and saved. Restarted laptop and no change. Tried to pull up again didn't have option "file, open notepad".
    Thanks-
I like the MSN 5 day gadget best and this is one having issue with. Foreca says is Microsoft issue-I thought Microsoft "abandoned few years ago". Only started having issue with being day behind about June -about time I noticed Foreca on the label. The other 5 day from weather.com I have to go into documents and reload/reset to areas=12 that I keep track of each time I start up my laptop.

    no change

I tried it again Mitch656 and shut down/restarted laptop and it still shows Today, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri. Should be Today, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat. Thanks again. Frustrating because when it worked I didn't have to reset it on the desktop.
