I know its safe because I have been using it for years, and NEVER had a problem with it. It was originally on the OFFICIAL MS gadget showcase.[FONT=Times New Roman said:
It is virus/malware free......I scanned it before uploading it here. It is fine to use.
It is as safe as a gadget can be.:):)
I had the same problem. This solution worked for me, so thanks.
Hi gldndragn do you know why that MSN weather gadget 2.0 doesn't work in my win 7 x64 system? I've closed and also deleted old weather gadget from windows and executed this version you uploaded but it doesn't appear in my desktop. This gadget looks so cool HELP
thanks gldndragn, downloaded and installed it, however it will not change to my correct location. I have even EVEN tried to change to about 3 nearby cities and it stays on the same location, which is not even in my state Also, to remove, do I just delete it. Thanks anywa!
Windows 7 Professional OS
Hi,
I couldn't find the path you mentioned on my computer. "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Services\Cache" the path is empty
any other solution?
I gave up on the windows gadget and went with the MSN weather gadget. Even the fix I posted earlier was erratic. When I installed the MSN weather gadget I noticed it was slow to respond when I was setting it up--took half a dozen tries to even get it to move.
Malli1177, I noticed this is your first post. Do you understand that "Username" is to be replaced by your username?
My weather gadget just stopped working this week, with the same message about not being able to connect to the service. I did the suggestion in the original post, opened and saved config.xml.
Now the weather gadget is working, but is not letting me choose a new location; it's stuck on "New York." When I do a search, it says "Searching..." for a moment, then stops without finding anything. Anybody have an idea how to fix this?
Ah, just found a workaround - it doesn't find city names, but it does find zip codes.
For example, when I type in "12345" and click the search button, it says "12345, NY" found. (Gee, that would be an easy zip code to remember.) When I click "OK" the gadget shows "Rotterdam, New York."
