Cant open folders via thirdparty programs

    Hi folks,

i cant open my download folder via firefox download menu, nor can i open ANY folder via rocketdock.

    (1) firefox says its an uknown class (chrome throws the same error).

    (2) rocketdock doesnt know how to handle the file (actually the folder) and asks for me to chose an application to run the file (the folder).

    (3) i tryed repairing my systemfiles but it throws the error: "the windows ressourcesecurity couldnt finish the requested task".

i tryed to visualize my problem as best as i can in a screenshot. i hope u guys understand what the problem is.

anyone an idea? thanks in advance guys!

Have you tried running SFC /SCANNOW in safe mode, or from boot?

Boot to Safe Mode, open an elevated command prompt and run the SFC scan, just as in windows. See if that will complete

    OR

SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

Did that. It said that it repaired some files, but not all.
    Still doesnt work.

Try booting to Safe Mode with Networking, see if the same behavior exists there. If not, try a Clean Start to see if there is a conflict

    Safe Mode

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Did you run the SFC up to 3 times, rebooting after each as suggested in the tute? Sometimes it takes a few times to repair.

Simple Create a new User account.
if it doesnt show the same behaviour, than old user account is corrupted.
If does shows you the same behaviou than please download this tool and better run in safe mode it may take 2 hours to complete.
