how to stop imported themes changing power settings?

Hi I imported a few themes from the W7 store on-line (Browse new Themes..) and found to my annoyance that the imported themes change more than the desktops and actually change power saving settings to those of laptops etc... I run a PC.

I even found a Samsung power saving theme (For a laptop..) in my power saving settings..

Is there some way to import a theme and strip away the associated power settings that come with it? - Otherwise it's back to crappy dull desktops!

    Running W7 64 bit..

Can you link to a specific theme? Generally themes do not come with power settings, power settings usually change if Windows detects issues with the resources of the computer. Your specs only show 2GB of Ram on an x64 OS. Can you post a snip of your WEI score?

Do the built in Aero themes work OK/not change power settings?

Sorry about that, old specs I now have 4gb RAM and a Modded CPU intel Xeon x5492 in a socket 775 Motherboard.. Windows has me at 7.4 on the index.. I have a Samsung SSD and a Nvidia GTX 780.. I doubt hardware is my problem at all..

The only time my power settings ever change is when I import themes... So naturally I figured they change power settings too! Does any of this help?

I have personally never had a theme change my power settings. Can you link to a specific theme that made these changes to your system? I'd like to have a look at the installer(s). A Guy
