Start menu -> Shutdown Button - "shut down" and "sleep"

Hi. Start menu -> I can only see shut down, or sleep, depending on how it's configured, but to access other power options I have to click on the small white arrow to the right of the power button.

So if the default setting of the big button is shutdown then it's a hassle to choose sleep because I have to click on the oh so small button arrow thing.

There's loads of room at the bottom right of my start menu so please tell me how to have a shutdown button AND a sleep button, because I frequently use both functions and don't want to have to choose only one for quick access. Cheers

It's that difficult to click the arrow?

There is/are gadget(s) with this functionality.

It's not that difficult, but it's a hassle, and I believe an OS should be as easy to use as possible, so I'd like two buttons down there.

Can you tell me what these gadgets are please? I've not used them before, but if there's a quicker way to shutdown or sleep I'd love to see it.

Why take 3 seconds to do something when you can do it in 1?

Others might find these commands helpful, just create a new shortcut and paste these in the address

    Shutdown Command - Shutdown.exe -s -t 00
    Restart Command - Shutdown.exe -r -t 00
    Lock Workstation Command - Rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation
    Hibernate Workstation Command - rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState
    Sleep Computer Command - rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0

    Sleep Icon

I would like to create a shortcut to sleep.
When you go to Shutdown and Click Sleep, This is what I want to make a shortcut for, But How.
All other shortcuts only put the pc in resume from standby.
The way my windows 7 is set up now is good, when I click sleep it goes to sleep in 5 seconds and wakes up in about the same time.
Any of the other scripts that people have written take much longer to wake up.
I think the solution is to find Sleep somewhere in gpedit, registry or services and just create a shortcut to it, but where is it.???.
