I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I couldn't place it in the program files/windows sidebar/gadgets, it kept telling me to try again, the application is running. I don't know what MC process was running, I didn't see any. I had to place the folder in Safe Mode. But when I do, it still didn't show up in the Sidebar menu. The only way I could get it to show up was by copying it to the same place in Program Files(x86) It still just loads and doesn't connect though. Do a need a 32 bit MC gadget as well to be placed in the (x86) folder? I know the gadget worked before.

There's not one for it in the Program Files (x86) folder by default though.

I do not know what else to do for this either.

I don't get it either, every default M$ gadget that's in the Program Files is also in the Program Files (x86). This is all I can get it to do now.

You might remove it from the Program Files (x86) folder though since it is not there by default.

Other than a clean reinstall, I do not know what else to try to fix this for you Aaron.

It's alright, I'll live without it. Didn't really use it that much anywho. I'll just wait till I install whatever build I install next. Thanks for your help.

    Just an idea.
In Control Panel>Programs>Turn Windows features on or off
You could maybe try unchecking the one that says "Windows Gadget Platform", click ok and let it do it's thing then go back to it and put a check mark on it.
It might be an avenue to have the missing gadget reinstated.

You could alway try the gadget from Windows Live Gallery, Media Center Gadgets (64-bit version)

    Hey NosferatuX,

That worked. Unchecked the Windows Gadget Platform and you have to restart, then it goes to Configuring Windows Features for a bit. After restart checked it again, no restart necessary, back on the gadget list and connects. Thanks, good idea I didn't consider.

Thanks to everybody for helping out.
