Hiding All Signs Of Windows 7 OS From Startup and Shutdown

Hello Everyone,

As like many others, I am trying to remove / hide all signs of Windows 7 Professional (64Bit) from my Startup and Shutdown. I basically looking to make my "Welcome" startup screen and my "Shutting down..." shutdown screen to both be just solid black.

Through a great deal of research have been able to accomplish quiet a bit successfully but a couple items just won't go away. It seems that others have not been successful at these particular items as well, but I was hoping maybe some new methods / ideas may be offered. (It appears as if these items require deeper editing knowledge / tools then I have.)

STARTUP
Starts off a solid black screen
1.) I then see a mouse pointer arrow with the blue loading circle near it
2.) That mouse cursor then turns into a just a bigger blue loading circle without the mouse pointer
3.) [SOLVED] Then the text appears "Please Wait" with the blue loading circle to the left of it
4.) Then the text appears "Welcome" with the blue loading circle to the left of it

SHUTDOWN
Starts off a solid black screen
1.) Text appears "Logging Off" with the blue loading circle to the left of it
2.) Then the text "Shutting down..." with the blue loading circle to the left of it

I have made all my mouse cursors transparent, but the ones that show up at startup are not affected by this.

I have read that you can change the what the text says, but I have not seen of a way to remove it completely, haven't tried but wonder what would happen if I put just a space (spacebar) in its field?

Have not found anything helpful on removing the blue loading circle to the left of "Please Wait", "Welcome" and "Shutting down..."

There are some skin packs you can install that are complete with boot screens etc, and once they are installed you can modify their files to tweak details. Rainmeter can make a Windows system pretty cool too.

p.s. you might need to run a theme patcher first.

I have never looked into anything like that before some of them look amazing. For my current project, I would already be loading into a frontend so these skin packs might be a little bit overkill to install just for fixing my welcome and shutting down screens. Hard to say, I didn't see any screen shots of their startup and shutdown screens on the site.

As you mention though I might be able to tweak them once installed, when I went to the link you provided I noticed they offer a "SkinPack Creator" which I am going to take a look at, maybe this would let me to just edit those screens. On the download page I noticed the screen shot shows that it might use the program "Resource Hacker" which is the program I read about how to change what those text messages display, hopefully this creator program will be able to allow me to remove some of these things completely.

Now as far as using one of these theme packs for a different project that is a whole other story.
Every time I think I am making progress on completing my list of projects, helpful jerks like you give me something else to add to my list, dammit! Just kidding, thank you very much for your response, I will let you know if I am able to make any progress with the SkinPack Creator.

If you or anyone else have any other ideas please let me know.

What better to do than send and receive exactly that? I would be bored!

I remember when I had such a list. I later built this: https://www.archlinux.org/. Several tries @3 hour runs finally lead me to staring down KDE, the best thing I have ever seen to this day.

P.s. If you don't already know, VirtualBox is a great tool for experimenting. You just need to be sure you have the resources to handle multiple O.S.' like having sufficient RAM. The Arch system is a different operating system, and therefore should be considered wisely before writing over current Windows systems. Never drop your regular system for another system you know nothing about!

I found a way to remove the "Please Wait" that quickly appeared before the "Welcome" text on my startup screen.
This can be done by enabling an option in the "gpedit.msc" window.
This fix however does not remove the "Logging Off" text that shows right before the "Shutting down..." text during shutdown, because that would be too easy.

My brain is trying find out why these text messages would be so hard to get rid of in the first place, and why on a welcome screen would I need to see twelve different mouse pointers?

If anyone has anymore ideas or would like to know what I did in the gpedit.msc screen, please let me know.
