    I've tried following the steps re 'platform' in another thread without success.

    I'm giving up now on this as clearly the gadgets system is a bag of nails, and in any case not a very important facet of Windows-7 for me.

    Let's close this thread, which in any case seems to have lost the ability to reply by quoting without copying & pasting.
