How to disable "Do you want to change the color scheme" message
Hi.
The title says it all, but let me clarify anyway:
1-The problem mostly occurs when running demos you can find at Pouet.net and rarely (but still do happen) in other application/games.
2- After some testing, I'm, fairly sure the problem is due to the GPU memory being used to the max or near the max. So lower resolution, simpler textures and turning off post processing (like MSAA) should help. It should, but it does not always. I suspect Windows 7 to trigger low resources alert much too easily, in fact giving false positive all the time. Like when decompressing large textures and busting the max VRAM cap, even for a faction of a second. If I find my system sluggish, I will take the necessary action, no need for Windows to interrupt me all the time.
3-Yes, I have searched an answer extensively on Google, here, and other forum, for the last hour. Threads from 2009 to 2014.
4- No, none of the provided suggestions worked as NONE of the suggestions precisely addressed the goal of ***eliminating the popup windows completely.***
In conclusion, I'm asking a simple question that can be answered by yes or no: Do you, yes or no, know how to *disable* the Windows 7 message "Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance"?
If the answer is yes, please give me the detailed procedure and I will be eternally grateful. If the answer is no, sorry to be blunt, but your wild guesses are of no interest to me. Technically, this thread should have 1 reply and 1 reply only with the correct procedure.
Thanks in advance,
Ramon
