Hi everyone,

Is there a way to display the number of instances of an application.

I hate to necropost - but, has anyone found a gadget to show the number of instances of a program currently running on its taskbar icon. XP and Vista had it. The overlapping icons are hard to see in a vertical task bar, besides which, it never shows more than 4 anyway.

Eventually, they'll dumb Windows down so that everything looks like edlin :rofl:

Show number of instances of a program open?
In Windows XP and Vista, there was a feature, so if multiple instances of a program were open, it would show how many are open (in numbers) on the taskbar. This feature is gone in Windows 7. Is there any way to get it? (through a download or through settings.)
