Windows 7: Hack & Rename 'Connect To' Start Menu Link to Something Else

Hack & Rename 'Connect To' Start Menu Link to Something Else

specifically 'Connect To'.

hi is it possible to directly hack & rename the default 'Connect To' link on the start menu to something else? the actual source does not necessarily have to change; just as long as it appears renamed on my start panel.

i have searched and read some tutorials, but i really don't need that level of customization. its function need not change. also, it's preferable if i don't have to uncheck Connect To and change any of the other customizable default folders like games etc. to swap in a shortcut for it.

would be great if anyone knows how to just rename 'Connect To' to let's say for eg. 'Connection'. at the moment i have pinned a renamed shortcut to the left side of the menu, but i won't need this shortcut if i can directly change this default link on the right side.

nwm, pretty unimportant now.

Display Favorites as a link not a menu in Start Menu
I think the only thing that will work here is a registry hack. By default if you set the start menu properties to display "favorites" it does so by a menu. It does not give you a choice to display this as a link or a menu like it does for other folders. Is there a way to fix this?
