    How to Remove Desktop Shortcut Icon Properties


    iv been searching for how many hour, editing registries but no luck how to remove the desktop shortcut icon properties,i already remove the properties in desktop but when you click the shortcut and right-click the properties is still there

    Hello and welcome Gabriel mate can I just ask what you are trying to do?? For example make them larger, smaller or simply just an icon name??
    In Properties as you can see you can change them for one of your choice etc but first why??

    Do you mean desktop.ini
    Best to leave it.

    Recycle Bin. Best to leave it. Also regularly clear the bin.

    For others, if it is a short-cut, should not be any problems.
    Do check if it is short-cut Or Actual files &or programs.

    It is good to clear most of the short-cuts, as the Windows OS will return the control to user.
    That is the OS require to check the short-cuts if it is valid or not.

    Yes I agree with Eric mate but I still would like to know just why you want to do anyhting with the icons. If they are plain annoying you just take them off.
