[Q] Start menu replacement

Not sure if this should be in Customization or Software, but here goes.

Is there any way (application) that would change the 7 start menu to look and behave like the 10 start menu.
I know there is the ViStart application and the Windows10 skin for it at Deviantart, but is there anything else that can mimic the 10 start menu.

On a whim I tried upgrading to 10 over the weekend and it surely took most of the weekend to upgrade (23 hrs to upgrade from 7 to 10 using an ISO image created using the media creation tool). Once booted up (took around 8-10 mins to boot up to the desktop) the system was pathetically slow with the start menu showing up after 30 seconds every time I click. Everything was to slow and laggy so reverted to 7 :) Only thing I liked there was the start menu and would like to have that or something like that in 7.

Maybe if I do a clean install it would be good, but I don't want to take that risk and have decided to stay with 7.

Though I wouldn't gurantee that the animations of the start buttons from Windows 10 will show here because Windows 7 isn't capable of doing some features Windows 10 have.
