Make windows search remember and search Drive C instead of favorites

PROBLEM: Whenever I do a search for something from the start menu what I want does not show up. When I click see more results on the start menu search box it opens a new Window, remembers my search term and searches in the favorites folder. ALWAYS. Needless to say what I am looking for does not show in results when windows searches in favorites.

So I click on Drive C icon and it goes to drive C but clears my search term from the search box in that nbewly opened window. After I type my search again into the search box in the previously mentioned newly opened window, THEN the computer will finally find what I am looking for.

QUESTION: When I do a search from the start menu and click see more results to open the new window, how can I make the computer to search in the C drive instead of favorites?

This is not standard windows behaviour. How do you know it searches the favorites folder?
Not a soultion but a workaround: Since you have to click on start, type then click on see more options, have you tried Winkey+E, select whichever part of the computer you want then type?
