How to number items within folder

    Hi all!!
I'm copying several music CD's in to one folder and each CD has the songs numbered 1-15 etc. Obviously when I copy two or more to the folder the numbers are duplicated. Is there a way to "select all" and renumber them from #1 to whatever? Ta

    Hi,
I believe you're referring to track numbers from the cd it came off of... I wouldn't rename them personally it might mess up the albums sorting in windows media player... if sorted by album ?
If you want to sort them I'd use a play list inside which ever player you use.

yes, there is a way and I have done it with a powerful, flexible and super-lightweight tool called ReNamer.
