Any way to increase the size of Notification/System tray icons please?

Although my icons on the left in the Task Bar (bottom left) are a good size I find the ones in the Notification/System tray (bottom right) too small for my eyes. As the picture below shows I have successfully used Skinny Clock to give me the time, date etc in a large enough way for me to easily see.

I have searched through the excellent Tutorial section here and could not find anything specifically relating to this so thought I would ask the techy folk here. Next I tried altering each setting in Personalize/Windows Colour but saw no change I could achieve there either.

Could some kind person tell me if it is possible to change their size and, if so, how to go about it please?

Right click on an empty spot on the task bar. In the window that pops up, under the Taskbar tab, check to see if "Use small icons" is checked or not. If checked, uncheck it.

    Hello MadMudMob, :)

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that changing the size of the Caption Buttons item using step 7C in Option Two of the tutorial below will also affect the notification area icons.

Lady Fitzgerald .... thankyou but that only affects the left hand icons.

Hiya Brink .... you're right it does slightly but it also turns the minimum/maximum/close buttons into huge monsters that overwhelm their pages ....

Yeah, that's the only bad side effect.

    Perfect!

Lady Fitzgerald, your suggestion was a perfect solution for me! I just installed RocketDock, and was wondering what to do with the Taskkbar (?) I didn't want to remove it, as I am sure there is a brilliant mind somewhere who figured out "how." Making it smaller is perfect. And I like what it did to the min/max buttons too. :)

    Thank you!!
