Changing W7 System default font
Hello All:
I searched this sub forum but could not find an answer to my situation. Hope you can help.
When changing Desktop themes (which I do frequently), previously selected font always reverts back to the default font Segoe . I had selected Tahoma for my preference with size 15 and Bold, for all the categories listed in the customization window. I like to change themes frequently for variety on my desktop, but every time I do, Tahoma gets replaced with Segoe. It is a PITA to change all selections back to Tahoma.
I have used the below program to change the setting in the Registry, but to no avail when I change themes. Segoe replaces Tahoma every time.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts]
"Segoe UI (TrueType)"=""
"Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)"=""
"Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)"=""
"Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)"=""
"Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)"=""
"Segoe UI Light (TrueType)"=""
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes]
"Segoe UI"="Tahoma"
Is there any permanent solution to keeping Tahoma as my default font so that when I change themes, Tahoma is displayed in all the customization categories and not Segoe?
Thanks
