How would I change the startup screen?

Not without some serious hacking. The boot screens and animations are not customizable. Do you want to change the login screen?

Hitting the print screen button will not register a screenshot while in the login ,but here is what I have so far. Downloaded Winamp as well. What do you think of the first version of AIM? haha Courtesy of Old Version Downloads - OldApps.com. I am going to go further with this. Like changing the program icons to look vintage as well. I still need to change the rest of the system settings.

Glad it worked for you! Nice retro look. I remember using the old Netscape browser back when the browser wars started. Good luck to you!

That looks sexy...is the boot screen animated as well (with the bar moving at the bottom)?

By startup screen, I don't mean the lovely little animation. When my computer starts up and the animation loads, the black behind it is a different shade of black than the black surrounding it. It's as if the resolution is locked to a smaller one, and when I get to the login screen it reverts to my...
