Set Shortcut Icons Only on Desktop to be One Click Open

Is there some way to set shortcut icons on the desktop (and not files located elsewhere) to open with one click?

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

It's one click every where or double click every where.
But you could use Quick Launch - Enable or Disable - Windows 7 Help Forums on the taskbar or Winstep Nexus Dock and Nexus Ultimate - The Advanced Docking System for Windows dock(there is a free one) on the desktop both are one click.
