Custom boot animation on EFI system

    Only Windows 10 (and possibly 8) support loading custom boot bitmaps from the BIOS. Windows 7 does not support this feature (and also works completely differently)

    We haven't heard back from the author of this thread. The last link I gave him is for Win 7 and seems to do what he desires.

    As the author said, Windows 7 Boot Updater is not compatible with EFI systems.

    Additionally, the one you posted was actually an unofficial link of the software the OP was talking about/the one you said was "iffy at best of what you're trying to do" (it's not, it's great software, just that it doesn't work on EFI!)

    Are you sure? I'm looking at the website right now and it says EFI is on the todo list. Are you looking at the official website at: Coder for Life - Project - Windows 7 Boot Updater ?
