BIN files from nowhere

I have a shortcut to My Docs, there are suddenly a profusion of BIN files appearing when this opens. What are they, do I need to see them all the time and, if not, how do I stop them appearing, I don't remember seeing them previously. Thanks

Have you installed any new software/updates prior to this happening?
Can you give us an example of the BIN file names!
